Today's episode explores 3 powerful reminders about improving our launches and that we have the power to improve even on the fly if we need to!

Even after making a perfect plan for your launch, there will likely come a time (especially during your open cart) where you'll start asking...how do we improve this? Can we improve this?

Check out one of my past episodes about this topic that also has a handy downloadable guide:

Theresa Reed, also known as the Tarot Lady...has grown her business with three values driving everything she does--

  1. Serving
  2. Showing up
  3. Consistency

These might not seem like the latest and greatest strategies, but Theresa has made them work no matter what she launches.

We dive into how each of these plays out in her business and I hope our conversation inspires you to look for ways of doing something similar in your business.

We know the usual suspects that are to blame for failed launches--everything ranging from tech breakdowns to an offer that doesn’t fit the intended audience.

But there are some other ways we block our own success long before we open the doors to our programs. Today, I’m going to share some of the sneakiest ways we derail our own launches and marketing campaigns.

Whether you’re a new business owner, launching your first course, or you’re no stranger to launching at all...these are common things that happen during big projects, launches, and anything where you must deliver or complete by a specific date. No one is immune to these.

If you have a team, hand this episode to your launch manager or project manager!

Have you ever wondered why your launch didn’t work...even after you download the complete checklist, do all the things, run all the ads, and can honestly say you’ve even written/sent multiple multiple closing day emails.

Today I’m going to share with you exactly what you were missing--even if you followed a perfect launch blueprint. Just like there are 2 sides to any story. There are 2 sides to launching.

This week, we're going to talk about the dream of the streamlined and simple launch.

Which is funny, because it's so easy to make our launches harder than we need to.

Even though we try to keep things simple...it is so easy to make simple parts of the process and your launch harder than it needs to be.

It could be a mindset issue or block or some limiting belief--and you know what? It almost doesn’t matter why...because no matter what’s creating this need to layer on things to your launches, once you see how it feels for things to be simple, you will not want to go back to it.

But simplicity, streamlined, stress-free is possible. Let's dive in.

How much time are you wasting before launches, trying to recreate what you did during your last launch or creating content/communication/stuff from scratch?

Today I’m sharing the #1 thing you should create right now to avoid all the headaches, stress, and overwhelm that people tell you launching causes.

No matter if you’re new to the launching game or you’ve been doing it for years, this is the one thing you should do before you launch again!

Spoiler alert: If there's one thing I suggest to all clients no matter what their size and experience, it's to do an inventory and then create an organized launch library or asset list.

This process can be overwhelming, so that's why I guide new members of the Launch Incubator (my small application-only group coaching program) through it before helping them create their launch plan.

Today we're going to be talking about why I break my launch into four phases.

If you'd like to go deep into these 4 phases, make sure to sign up for my webinar: https://annesamoilov.com/masterclass

First, before I plan anything and before I get started on the work...before I even really fully think through the launch, I break it, I break it apart into four different phases.

There are four really good reasons why I do that. I wanted to share that with you today because I know a lot of people, whether it's a difficult time in your family's life or in the world or you're just struggling just to get things done and be consistent, or maybe you're afraid you won't get everything done.

I find that when I break my launch into these four phases, it helps on so many different levels.

So I wanted to share that with you today so that you could start making progress. If there's anything that I want for you more than within actually anything else, it's just that feeling that you're making progress every single day.

Want to dive deeper into these phases and get coaching and personalized strategy? DM me so I can tell you how!

Today's episode is for you if you find yourself comparing yourself or your business to what other people are doing in their businesses.

Read the post and dive deeper here: http://www.annesamoilov.com/launch-comparison-game/

Imagine this: you’re planning your launch, getting things done, feeling great about your progress and then it sneaks up on you...the launch comparison monster.

You’re handling your business … you not only feel effective, but you are also actually BEING effective.

Then along comes a bump in the road you didn’t expect.

Someone who’s a few steps ahead - or let’s be honest - a few years ahead of you in terms of where your business is - how beautiful their launch looks, just everything about them is the better version of where you are...or at least that’s how it feels.

This episode is brought to you by my free masterclass about how to stay focused and 4-part method for having a successful launch: https://annesamoilov.com/masterclass

Today's episode is all about how to experiment better in your business...this even applies to your launches too.

In February, I hosted a very informal Launch Love challenge...the plan was to post videos on IGTV and then repurpose those as short podcast episodes.

There were 4 main places that could have made the entire experiment more successful help me reach more of you!

Listen in as I share my honest account of the month, the challenge, and what I'm doing moving forward.

The simple practice that makes launching so. much. easier.

Taking inventory is something you normally want to do before you start working on your launch, but in reality, you may end up discovering the inventory as you go along.
Make a list of everything you might consider something you can use for your launch.

Your inventory should consist of THREE types of “assets” - you may find these already existing in your business. *People - Includes team, affiliates, business partners, collaborators, biz besties *Content - Includes blog content, podcasts, videos, facebook lives, any content *Systems - Includes your tools, your process for doing things, even your payment process
Often people try to create everything from scratch when it’s not necessary.

Sometimes you’ll have the exact people, you’ve already created all the content, and you’re currently using all the systems you need to execute a launch.

Don’t give yourself more work than you need to do!
Time to do your own inventory right now.

Download the complete challenge guidebook now for more questions you can ask to complete your inventory: https://bit.ly/launchlovechallenge

Mar 6, 2020

Repurposing your content is probably the best thing in the world you can do.

Repurpose doesn’t mean a straight cut and paste...but it does mean you get to use the exact content in a different format.

Not only will this save you loads of time, but it’ll allow your best content to be consumed in different ways. And of course, this means that you get to reach more people.

Go back to your inventory of all the content assets you identified. Pick 3 things you can repurpose.

Create a new format/media version of that content.

Maybe a blog post becomes an Instagram image and post. Maybe a video becomes a blog post.

Maybe a podcast becomes content for a Facebook Live. (Yes, you’re allowed to do this!) Download your free challenge guidebook here: https://bit.ly/launchlovechallenge

Why we need a little notice (And Why It's Important)

People love a look behind the scenes. I don’t know of any business that can’t benefit from showing the process, a first look, or even looks at what’s being created along the way.

Now, beyond people loving to be voyeurs into the process and seeing what’s really going on...why are these so powerful?

Simple - they take people on a journey with you. You invite people to be part of the creation of what you are making for them. You allow them to be co-creators!

No matter what day of the week it is, sit down right now and set a few dates to help you start your launch map.

Why? Because even just a few dates will give you that tiny bit of structure to start thinking about your launch, what needs to happen by each date and give you a little nudge to get to work.

What's Your Best Channel? (plus a rant)

When you’re first starting out planning a launch, even starting your business, you might find yourself wanting to be everywhere all the time.

Now’s the time to look at the various places you show up online and offline...and where you’re getting the most feedback or having the most conversations.

This can be as simple as noting that you have a growing audience on Facebook but not on Instagram or vice versa. You might notice that people mostly email you personally. Maybe you have in-person clients that you signed via speaking at local events.

Where do you get the most interaction with people?

Choose the top 3. Focus on those places for sharing and publishing content. Focus on networking and getting to know people in those spaces.

Launch Goals vs. Launch Projections👇👇👇- Watch on IGTV too: https://www.instagram.com/p/B8enqjkJ3x5/

"Goals" is a big word, but today, I want you to think about your first launch (for a free or paid offer) this year. Grab your notebook, because you’ll need space for this!

What are your biggest goals for the launch? Is it revenue? How much? Is it a number of new clients or customers? Is it a certain number of subscribers?

Your goals might even be about why you want to launch...and what it would mean to your life. Goals for me are a mix of specifics, of the why and the vision.
Specific goals of the launch:

Why it’s so important for you to reach those goals:

What’s the bigger vision behind this launch and how it aligns with your business?

The point with setting goals is simple - you’re setting a target for yourself.

Welcome to Part 2 of the 6 part series all about getting launch-ready in 2020.

Today we're talking about the perfection problem that exists on every type of creative or launch project I've ever been part of and how to get over it (and yourself) to deliver on time and stick to your launch dates.

As creative entrepreneurs, we want to put our best work into the world. Sometimes though we don't know how to finish it, call it done...because we've got so many ideas.

But there comes a point when you're nearing that open cart date and you'll need to make the decision to cut, prune, and stop the work in order to launch...even when it doesn't include all of your genius ideas.

In this episode, we talk about the mantra I use to keep track of my new ideas, but not let them sideline or halt my entire launch!

Getting your legal stuff in order is neither fun nor sexy, but is essential. Many entrepreneurs only get legal stuff in order when things are about to go wrong or only when things have already gone wrong.

Our guest today is here to help us understand what legal stuff we should have for our businesses and what the best time to have them in place is. We are excited to speak to have Annette Stepanian, a lawyer for creatives and entrepreneurs. From contract drafting, trademark registration to consulting.

According to Annette, it is advisable to have your legal stuff in place when starting your business. It ensures your business is well protected. For instance, can you imagine creating some content then someone comes and steals it? Would you like that?

Key Talking Points:

  • Annette’s entrepreneurial journey
  • Legal stuff needed in a business
  • How to market without inflicting fear

Key Quotes from the Episode

“Copying and pasting from samples they find on the Internet robs you the opportunity to really take ownership of your business and to architect it.”
