A few years ago when I was working on a bunch of different higher profile launches, I made a huge realization…there were some specific things people at all levels of business were doing.

At least outwardly.

No secrets.

Nothing extra fancy.

Just straight forward stuff really.

So, it’s easy to see how you might follow what you see and think - wow, I did exactly everything the same I did NOT get the same results. Yikes, what happened??

Well, today, I’m going to share some of those things that set big launches apart from ones that fall apart or fail.

Before we do that though - I think it’s important to say that failure comes in different forms. Your win is another person’s failure. Another person who thinks they had a stinky launch - you’d settle for ANY OLE DAY OF THE WEEK.

Listen in to learn the true performance indicators of a "good launch".

Have you ever wanted to create something brand new in your business?

Of course you have!!!

Entrepreneurs and business owners are idea machines most of the time, right?

But do you really need to scratch the itch every single time you get that amazing OMG idea you know is going to catapult you into the history books?

Maybe. Annnnnd maybe not.

In today’s episode, we’re going to talk about:

  • How we create and why you might just need to get something out of your system
  • My 5 step guideline and process for creating new products
  • Questions to ask yourself as you’re getting those new ideas out of your head
  • Why you gotta be curious, ask questions, and also be completely detached… all while you’re pushing that new, exciting idea forward
  • How you can be part of my brand new signature program - which just opened applications for a public Beta.

Are you preparing for a relaunch of your online course or digital project?

Maybe a challenge other online event you do on a regular basis?

Well I normally talk about the pieces you need to pull together to put your launch together, but what about DELIVERING what you promised?

Yes, marketing is important, but you’ve also got to be able to back it up with an amazing experience. It’s not enough to create a product that converts people to your customers or create content that converts people...you have to be excited, ready, and reaching to create something that can transform people’s lives too...

This week I go into 6 of the main areas you’ll need to start asking questions (and answering them) in order to refresh your online course.

Visit annesamoilov.com/135 for full show notes and a special download to go along with today's episode (plus one you can use for your next product relaunch.)

In today’s episode we’re talking about mistakes you may be making as a business owner that affect your business and all your product launches. These aren’t quick fix mistakes, but ones you can aim to get better at over time.

Take out your journal right now and make notes on anything that comes up for you personally. There’s no right or wrong way to approach these, only to work on shifting the way you handle launches, do business...and operate in the world.

  1. Checklist vs. Decision Making: There are lots of appropriate places and instances where checklists are valuable and work. And they do get you part of the way there with launches. But a checklist will not tell you why people aren’t buying. A checklist won’t tell you if you’ve done enough customer research or sent enough emails or got the tone right in your sales page or webinar presentation. You need to be able to ask questions, have thoughtful conversations and make decisions.

  2. Individual Tools vs. System: With the ever changing technology in our world, it’s no wonder that we’re always thinking about trying a new tool to. For example, process payments, manage tasks, house our products, deliver our products, promote our products. Truth is - the system of how you’re doing these things is more important than the specific tool. Learning how to pull together a set of tools into a working system is a better approach and why I teach a systems module in Fearless Launching. Grab my systems cheatsheet. Check show notes over at http://www.annesamoilov.com/130 for a link to that cheatsheet!

  3. Changing Everything vs. Keeping What works: Doing a postmortem is one of those things that gets put off and literally put on the back burner as we get ready for our next thing. Plus - a good friend told me this about branding - that’s her area of expertise...that people get bored with their fonts/colors about the time that it’s gelling and makes sense with people! When it’s working - you’re likely going to get bored, but there’s no reason to throw out everything and can result in nothing working!!!

  4. Support - Are you getting help? Processing what’s going to happen in your launch is invaluable. Absolutely no one I know who’s gone above the 7 figure launch or revenue level has done so without hiring help. No one. You have to be willing to get that support. And if you need help with the above items especially, then it might be time to get a coach, hiring a launching manager...

If you’d like to go into more of these topics, I’ve just created a brand new launch workshop for you which really speaks to the foundation you can build for all of your launches...I’m telling you first because I know you’ll want to jump on it fresh - while it’s hot off the presses.

Here’s what we’re going to cover in this workshop:

  • The one place you’re wasting the most time and that could be the cause of all your launch problems..

  • Why knowing how to set your launch goals, sets you up for bigger success

  • My secret shortcut to creating my launch plan - great if you HATE planning

The key phases in your launch and the exact action steps you can take today.

Just head over to http://www.annesamoilov.com/130 and it’ll be linked right there as well as on the sidebar on the blog.

That’s all for today - I hope you heard today’s message with love. I make these mistakes sometimes too - we’re human and we simply need a reminder every once in awhile!

It’s time…

...end of the year reflection-new-year-new-you mode…maybe a little filing, throwing ideas away, and binging on training we didn’t get to this year. Maybe you're even thinking about how to have a successful launch (if you didn't quite hit the mark this year).

So over the next few weeks, I’ve pulled together some of the most important content I’ve created and pulled it into a 3 part series.

Rarely do I get to curate what I’ve created for you - you hear the podcasts when you want and may read a post long after it’s been published.

This series will pull some important moving parts of a launch together for you - so you don’t have to wade through information you may not need (yet).

So enjoy…the 3 key elements of a successful launch.

This series is specifically for you if:

If you’ve never launched a thing and know you will want to turn your blog into a business, start coaching people, create a course, produce an event … in 2017.

It’s also a PERFECT place to REVISIT when you’re reflecting on this year’s launches, ones that worked or didn’t...and to start again with new products you’ll create in the new year.

You might be surprised where we get started…

Here’s what we’ll cover in part one:

  • What you can expect in this training series
  • Why learning to launch isn’t just a one time task
  • What being Fearless means… again (you might be surprised)

...and we’ll spend most of our time talking about the NUMERO UNO part of any launch.

So, let’s dive in.

Today's episode - we dive into the whole topic of social proof.

Social proof is a way to show your audience that you have credibility and have been able to help other people get results in some way. You get to demonstrate your expertise through the way you help or serve other people.

The trick here is that social proof can be from people you've worked with. It could be people who have been through your program, past customers, whoever has been in your world and benefited from your experience. It could be someone who's bought something from you in the past or simply been a part of your audience and has gotten results from something FREE you've offered.

We talk a lot about social proof in Fearless Launching - which is open right now for enrollment if you're listening on November 2nd or 3rd. Visit: http://www.fearlesslaunching.com for all the details!

The doors close Friday night at Midnight - until then you can get in before the price increases, get the current and all upgrades, plus run through the live material with me in January. If you're someone who has considered hiring a launch manager, enroll here first -- we do the course twice per year and it's like having me on your team.

You’re preparing for a launch…

If you have people helping you, are they as ready as you are to make it happen?

Today’s question, does your team know how to launch.

If you can’t say yes, it’s your responsibility to train them, to get them ready.

So, if you have a team, a VA, a project manager, maybe even just someone answering emails, then this episode will help you ensure your team has your back during your next launch.

Sep 22, 2016

I don’t care who you are…

Communication can be challenging when you’re first starting your business or marketing new products.

You’re not sure what to say, when to say it, how to say…

And then there’s the question of sending emails and how many to send...and how often.

Overwhelm and worry can set in fast...all the sudden you’re unsure, insecure…

Add a launch to that anxiety and you’ve got a recipe...and you might feel immediate paralysis.

You’ll question every email you send, worry you’re scaring people away, get angry when people don’t respond and more!

Today's episode, we talk about how to create a launch marketing calendar for the next year. I'll share the seven questions you should ask and answer when trying to plan out the year of launches and marketing activities.

Rules of the game are simple - keep it simple, use what you've got now, leave room for new stuff. :)

If you've ever said you're not ready to launch...this episode might be for you.

If you're working on your website, rebranding, fixing something that you think doesn't  look right...you might noodling to the point of no return.

Today's quick episode is a little rant about making your online digs the reason for not launching. Now, with so many tools (free and paid) at your disposal for creating landing pages, member's areas, optins...you kind of don't even need a website at first.

If you've got an offer ready to go for an audience that wants it...and all you're waiting for is a re-brand...think again. You are not off the hook.

Today's super short episode covers 3 unexpected launch killers... do yourself a favor and avoid thinking, doing, or paying attention to these three. Lock them out of your launch!

So, you’re getting ready to launch your first product … or maybe relaunch an existing one.

Regardless of what you’re planning to release to the world, you’re likely looking to achieve something we pretty much all want when we’re growing our business — income for our families, our lives, and to keep growing our business.

Many people I’ve helped launch usually talk about how they’d simply like to make consistent monthly income with their small business.

I know it sounds simple, but who else has ever said that they just want consistent, steady, ongoing income every single month?

We’ve already seen it’s a possibility. I’ve shared my own story of going from Day Job to Side Hustle to Full Time Biz. If you missed those posts – check them out over here and here.

It’s possible. I know that from my own experience, but I won’t lie. It’s not easy to get there. It doesn’t happen over night…and you can run into a lot of resistance along the way.

Maybe you’ve run into some of the same resistance.

Join me today as I share some of the biggest myths I believed that almost stopped me from ever launching...or feeling like I was worthy to launch!

You’ve decided that you want to launch something you’ve been creating in your head or actually working on for months now.

An ebook. A group coaching program. A new blog. An online course. A webinar. A Blog series. A completely new business. A shop. A new product.

But when’s the right time to actually launch something? When are you, your business and your ideal customers ready for you to launch?

When you think of a launch, you probably think of a long list of tasks that need to get done...and who's going to have to do those...

Well, you're right, there are a ton of little things that need to be decided, delegated and done in order to launch a product or service (especially online). Along the way you may decide that you want to keep improving and perfecting all these pieces.

Nope! Not anymore...now, we're going to think about creating a CBB list...Could BE Better. In order to ship, you need to know when to let go and get something out the door instead of waiting for perfection to be attained.

If it's not broken and does what it's supposed to...keep moving. Put the CBB on a list and come back later.

Here's why I love my CBB list!

Spend any time on social media, reading blogs, going to webinars, listening to business summits and you’ll hear one thing over and over.

You’ve got to outsource to grow.

And the idea is fine - it’s true. You need to delegate many things in your business.

But there are others who prefer to go it alone as long as they can - until they literally MUST hire people to help them.

Is this the wrong approach?

I say no...and maybe yes.

Today’s episode of the Fearless Launching show, I talk about three different paths you might choose depending on how new you are to business, your budget, your time frame and your experience with launching.

Hopefully, by the end you’ll know whether you’ll do it all alone, hire out completely, or take my third preferred option.

I’ve joined forces with one of my business besties Alexis Giostra today…and we’ve been talking lately about the year coming to a close.

We know that if you’re like us, you’re thinking about ending the year on a high note, saying thanks to your audience and supporters, and making some more revenue for your business.

Now, I know Alexis is the queen of executing ideas…the way she can turn those ideas around is insane! Truth is – I think the reason why it’s so easy for her are the secrets I’m going to share with you today.

We are constantly throwing ideas back and forth about sales, marketing, content creation…and it turns out we were both mulling over holiday promotion and launch ideas. So, today’s post is a bit of a crash course in some of the secrets of all those holiday promotions you see.

Plus – it answers a question I get all the time – is there ever a bad time to launch? Like the holidays?

Read the post and check out the download here: http://www.annesamoilov.com/successful-holiday-launch/

Ever thought of creating or launching a physical product

I have...and it shouldn’t surprise you that about a year ago I was entertaining the idea of launching a planner! After a few months of materials research, I made the decision to stop that process...and said, “nope”....I wasn’t ready to go down the road of manufacturing, choosing paper, testing, finding a printer.

Only a few short states away, my friend Briana who had been creating different types of products for years for her spa and massage clients (we’ll get into that in the episode)...was in the process of creating HER own planning system...one that included dreaming as an integral part.

She and her husband co-created the Rituals For Living Dreambook + Planner to assist people ready to transform their lives into something free, happy, and successful.

Who doesn’t like a good story about a wrong turn that changed everything?

When you discover things “by accident” in your business, they seem like they were destined to happen, that all your decisions led to that one moment where things broke down and then exploded your business.

The truth about “moving the needle” in your business is this.

You can move anything unless you’re testing, trying, and acknowledging what works.

Launches are great times to try new things.

Oct 8, 2015

Listbuilding is one of those things you should be doing no matter if you're launching or not AND if you have an online based business.

Yes - reaching new people should be something you’re always doing...now, you can have ongoing list building activities and systems in place. That’s great. Keep those flowing.

That’s why my main focus in between launches is to keep reaching out to new people...finding new, effective ways to turn those into list building systems, and use tools like Leadpages to keep the whole thing easy for me!

So, if you’re leading up to a launch, want more of the right people to pay attention, and make more sales, today’s episode is for you.
